Solar in Adams, MA

Adams Solar Company for Panel Installation, Repair and Batteries

The median house in Adams dates to 1938, so the rafters, the shingles and the service panel get a close look before a single solar panel goes on. We install solar, repair systems already up and add home batteries across town.

Panels, repairs and batteries

Residential and commercial solar service in Adams

In Adams we install new solar, repair aging arrays and fit home batteries, on residential and commercial buildings alike.

The solar services we offer, one per card:

  • Solar panel installation

We size an array to the power bill, mount it on the roof or the ground and wire it to the house, with "flashing", the seal around each bolt, at every roof attachment.

  • Solar panel repair

An array making less power than it did, a fault code or water at a roof mount starts with a diagnosis. We trace the fault through the inverter and the wiring, quote the fix and then make it.

    Solar Panel Repair

  • Solar roofing

When the shingles under an array wear out, we lift the panels, reroof and reset them, the trade's "R&R", or lay solar shingles into the new roof instead.

  • Battery backup

Stored surplus from the array's sunny hours keeps the circuits you choose running through a power outage.

Older houses, new power

Solar panel installation in Adams

We are Incite Solar Solutions, and in Adams our crews install, repair and back up solar panel systems on homes and businesses.

Most of the housing in town is old enough that the roof framing and the electrical service shape the job as much as the panels do. Rafters framed generations ago, a service panel updated a piece at a time, a roof with only a few winters left: we look at each on the first visit, because that is where a firm quote comes from.

Under Mount Greylock, the hillside and tall trees can shade a roof for part of the day, so we judge the sun on your roof itself rather than from a map.

What we check first on an older house:

  • The roof. An array fits best on a roof with years of life left; one due for replacement soon adds the cost of lifting the panels off and back on later.
  • The electrical service, which decides how the system ties into the house.
  • The permits, which we pull and close out so none is left open on the house.

What sets the price on an older house

A firm quote comes after a site survey. It rests on the roof's condition, the electrical service, the equipment you choose and the permitting, and on a house the age of most in Adams, the roof and the service are where we look hardest.

You hear the whole figure before we start, and it does not grow after.

What our customers say

The reviews below are our customers' own Google posts, left exactly as they wrote them, typos included.

The representatives we worked with at Incite - Jonathan and Daniella were incredible and kept us informed every step of the way. The electrical team and installation team were wonderful and efficient and did an amazing job under brutally hot conditions! We are thrilled that we decided on Incite Solar Solutions and know that going forward it will be the best decision we ever made. We are fortunate that all of our panels are in the back and we actually forget they are there. Great installation.

We're in line to get a system thru SunPower with Derek as our rep. So far so good--he's been great! We had a hiccup with our first home site inspection--seems that the info never made it back to Incite. Then Peter Walters was assigned to come out--night and day difference from our first home site visit. Peter totally knew what he was doing. Hope all continues to go well!

We had Pete survey our property and he did an amazing job, took his time explaning to us everything he was doing and in what condition our home was in. He did a pretty awesome job!

Solar questions from Adams homeowners

The questions below are what Adams homeowners type into a search bar before they hire a solar installer, answered the way we answer them on the phone.

Most come down to two things: who to trust with the roof, and how to get a straight number for the job. The first is in the answers below; the second takes one call.

Straight answers

Choosing a solar company

Who is the most reputable solar company?

The one whose customers say it did what it promised, and that still answers the phone after the panels are up. Read reviews in the owners' own words, like ours above, and ask every company for a quote on the whole job before work starts.

We give that quote free and with no obligation.

What are the top 10 solar companies?

A national list cannot tell you who will come out to a house in Adams. A search for solar companies in Adams shows 3 rated local listings, so compare who will survey the house, quote the whole job and come back when the system needs a repair.

We cover Adams from Pittsfield and answer each of those on the call.
